Refund policy

5-Day Returns Policy

We offer a 5-Day Returns Policy (Terms & Conditions apply) on full-priced furniture and homewares purchased through our website or showrooms if the product is deemed faulty, as per the conditions below. Hamptons Avenue does not offer a refund for change of mind. 

 

Faulty Items

If you  believe your item is faulty, we will work with you to find a solution before offering a refund. If it is deemed that a suitable solution can be found or it is deemed that the item is not faulty, no refund may be applicable. Suitable solutions include:

  • The offer of an exchange

  • The offer to rectify the issue which may include a small repair that does not affect the condition of the product

  • A partial refund of the total cost paid for the product

 

Restocking Fees

  • A 15% restocking fee applies to approved returns.

  • Pre-order cancellations due to change of mind incur a 15% restocking fee.

  • Rugs incur a 20% restocking fee.

Refund Exclusions

Your refund will not include:

  • Original delivery costs

  • Return freight costs to our warehouse or showroom

  • Applicable restocking fees (15% standard items / 20% rugs)

If your furniture was delivered and you choose to return it, you will be responsible for the cost of transporting the item back to our warehouse or showroom. 


Cancelling Furniture Prior to Delivery

If your circumstances change between purchase and delivery, we can offer a refund less a 15% restocking fee.

This fee will be deducted from your refund in accordance with our 5-Day Returns Policy.

Hamptons Avenue reserves the right to refuse cancellations on special orders (items not in stock and specifically ordered for a customer), regardless of delays or changes in circumstances.



Exchanges

If you request a direct exchange within 5 days of receiving your goods:

  • No restocking fee will apply if the replacement item is of equal or greater value.

  • Rugs will still incur a 20% restocking fee.

  • Original delivery costs, return freight and redelivery fees are not included in the exchange value.

Returned items must:

  • Be in original condition

  • Be repackaged in original packaging

  • Be suitable for resale

Hamptons Avenue reserves the right to refuse returns on items not deemed resalable, though this is rare.



How to Request a Return, Cancellation or Exchange

Within 5 days of receiving your goods, please email: director@hamptonsavenue.au

Include:

  • Your order number

  • A brief explanation for the return or exchange

  • Any relevant feedback

Our team will respond with the next steps.



Defects or Faults After 5 Days

Our returns policy operates in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).

If you believe your item has a manufacturing defect outside the 5-day return period, please email: director@hamptonsavenue.au

Please allow 1–2 weeks for management and our factory to fully assess the issue and respond.
